This teleconverter increases the power of a lens by a factor of 2.0 this requires a two stop change, again it isn’t designed to work with lenses other than the AF-I or AFS lenses as it requires the lens to carryout the focusing not using the cameras motor. I've only recently acquired this converter but there doesn't appear to be much loss in image sharpness. In combination with super telephotoes such as the 500mm this should create a very capable package for bird photography. |
