Holding the camera

How you hold the camera is important to the quality of the image you produce. No matter how fast a shutter speed were using always adopt the same method of holding the camera. Firstly cradle the lens in your left hand then cup your right round the camera body such that index figure rests on the trigger. Then bring the camera tight to your eye as a third point of contact. Keep your elbows in tight to your body and you'll have a firm hold and limit shake. When you press the shutter release start by resting your finger on the button and then press as though your wiping dirt off the shutter release.
